Days 25-33

The last two weeks of my ST 1 went by so fast. My Language Arts students began working on their final book club projects and all had some great ideas that I was excited to see at the end. During my last week at Milford, the 7th and 8th graders presented their final projects to the class and they turned out very well. I was able to see a big difference between the 7th graders work and the 8th graders work. My LA students were sad to see me go. Several of my 7th graders begged me to stay and one girl even said, "Miss J, why are you abandoning us?" She was just joking (I hope), but it was good to know that they actually liked me. I promised them I would come back and visit in May.

During my 2nd to last week in Milford, I gave my first Spanish test. It was a doozy! The test I put together wasn't too hard, and it took my 20 mins. to complete, so I figured that all the students would have it done in at least 40 minutes or less. Wrong! It took some students 1 hour to complete the test and the results were a little lower than I expected, but I learned from it. With the test and the last couple days of my time with the Spanish students, it went by quickly. My Spanish students weren't exactly sad to see me go, rather they asked if I would take them with me to Baltimore. I, of course said yes, and had 8 students tag along with me. Just kidding!

I was sad to leave Milford and all of the students that I had formed relationships with, but was very excited to head on to Baltimore for a whole new experience.
