Day 11: Frost

There was a good layer of frost & ice on my car this morning, and of course since I was running late I only forcefully brushed off what I could on the front and back windshield. Bad plan. I had very little visibility out of my car for the first 4 minutes of my drive. Never again.

My University Supervisor came to observe me teaching Spanish today. I wasn't too nervous on my way to school, but right before I was getting ready to teach I felt physically sick. I'm usually not that nervous in front of the classroom and once I was actually teaching I was okay. The lesson I taught went pretty well and it will be interesting to see what my supervisor has to say about it.

I'm continuing to plan projects for my book club unit and I'm really excited to have my students work on them. My two favorite thus far are:
1. Make a playlist of 20-30 songs for one of the characters from the book. In one paragraph explain why you chose those particular songs.
2. Pick one of the main characters from your novel. If that character were on trial for committing a crime, who would testify for them and what would those people say? Give a list of people that would testify for your character and a paragraph of what they would say about them.
Hopefully they'll turn out as good as I think they will.

Now onto a night of lesson planning, working on stuff for my methods classes, and getting some much needed rest.
