Day 12: Bummer

This school day went pretty well. My lesson in Spanish was decent and I think that most of the class understood what we were talking about. I think. I'm sure there will be some students tomorrow that have no idea what we talked about today. It happens. The rest of my day was easy. The 7th and 8th graders took spelling and vocab. quizzes online and so there wasn't anything for me to do besides supervise and read. That was my day in a nutshell.

And then, after school, as I was chatting with my Spanish Co-Op about the lesson I'm going to teach tomorrow, the Vice Principal comes looking for me. "Do you drive a Buick from Texas?" he asks. "Yes, that's mine. Why?" I responded. It turns out that some high school student, driving her friend's car, backed up into my car, cracked the bumper, and drove away. Several other students saw this happen and luckily the Vice Principal did as well. The police were called, a report was filled out, and hopefully tomorrow I'll get the insurance information of the car's owner. What a bummer!

The weekend can't come soon enough.
