Days 7-10: Busy, busy, busy

This week has been very busy. I'm at school from 8:00a.m.- 4:00p.m. every day, and then on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays I have methods classes from 6-9p.m. Very long days which makes for a very long week. I have come to the conclusion that teachers look forward to Fridays so much more than students do. I know I did this week!

I have taught several times this week. I began teaching one 10th grade Spanish class on Wednesday and found it to be very challenging. Not being with the class from the beginning of the year, I don't know everything they have learned and what they still don't know. Several times this week I've said a few phrases that I thought were fairly simple and they just stared at me, unresponsive. My Co-op continues to remind me to take is slow and repeat things often since they don't pay as much attention to what I'm saying as I would like.

I LOVE my 7th and 8th graders! They are so much fun, have a ton of energy, and always keep me on my toes. I started a Book Club unit with 7th grade today and they are all so excited to start reading their books, which is a dream for an English teacher.

I can't wait for next week!
