Day 6: My first Day Teaching

I taught my first lesson today! I taught a Vocabulary lesson to 3 classes of 7th graders and 1 class of 8th graders. As the day went on, my lesson got progressively better and better, just as I thought it would. I also got a chance to practice my class management. Keeping middle school students on task is a constant battle and I did the best I could. I spoke with my Co-Op briefly after classes were done and she said that I did a pretty good job. I am still trying to work on my nerves. No matter how well I am prepared for a lesson, I still get a little nervous when I am in front of the classes talking to them straight on. It will get easier as time goes on, I'm sure.
