Where does time go?

It´s been quite a while since my last post, and since then I have completed my student teaching in Baltimore, returned to Concordia, NE, graduated from Concordia, accepted a call to Messiah Lutheran in Independence, MO, and packed up my apartment. How time flies!

My last couple of weeks in Baltimore were great. I got to go on a field trip to D.C. with the 6th grade class, watched my host brother in the school musical, and ate steamed crabs for the first time. I am so thankful that I had such great cooperating teachers, students, and a wonderful host familyl. I miss them all a lot. The other student teacher and I made the trip back to Nebraska in two days this time rather than one which was a much better idea. We were thankful that our friend, Chris Loesel, and his family took us in for the night in the St. Louis area to help us break up our trip back to Concordia.

My class at Concordia was the first group to graduate together and in the school´s new athletic facility. My family came up for graduation and we celebrated with my roommate and her family. Four years went by very quickly, but it was about time. It will be nice to not have to take college courses for quite a while.

As many of you know, I have accepted a call to teach 6th grade at Messiah Lutheran in Independence, MO. I am really looking forward to getting into my classroom towards the end of July to set everything up the way I want it and to get all of my lessons in order. I can´t wait to see what the future holds for me at Messiah Lutheran.
