I have loved my time here at Baltimore Lutheran. My Co-ops are great and I love the students. I never imagined that I would love working with 6th graders as much as I do. I have never worked with them before in the classroom and I just think they are great. I have two classes of about 20 students each. They keep me on my toes and make me laugh all the time! I am going to be very sad to leave them in two weeks.
As far as a job goes for next year, it's still in the works. I've only had three interviews so far, but with the way the economy is, it is not unusual. I will be having a face to face interview with a school in Independence, MO for a 6th grade position. It sounds like a great school with a great ministry opportunity, and ultimately it's in God's hands. Speaking of the economy, all of the student teachers were recently advised to start looking for positions in public schools as a backup. Of course I would prefer to work in a Christian school for a few years, but I know that God will use me wherever I end up.
In Him,
Julia
