I have fallen behind on my blogging (again), so now I am going to attempt to catch you all up with what I have been doing these past 4 weekends.
On my first official weekend, my host my was at the beach with her cousins, so the three other student teachers and I explored the shopping opportunities in Towson, MD a little bit. It was a rainy weekend, so going in and out of stores e
nded up being perfect. We spent several hours in IKEA and had a great time.
The second weekend I was here, my host m
om took three of us to the harbor in Baltimore. It was a cold day, but we had so much fun.
These hats were great! Sadly, none of us bought one.
The third weekend here was pretty uneventful. We wanted to do something fun, but once again the weather did not cooperate with
us and it rained all weekend. The other student teacher that I live with, Dee Leible, and I decided to drive to Pennsylvania for the day since it's only 30 min. away. We ended up in York, PA which is an interesting city. There wasn't too much to do there, but we enjoyed seeing the countryside.
This past weekend we finally went to Washington D.C. It was the peak weekend for Cherry Blossoms, and it was just beautiful!
We were so lucky to be in D.C. on such a clear weekend! Here is the Jefferson Memorial
The Washington Monument
While we were at the Lincoln Memorial...
In the palm of my hand!
Then of course there was the capital building
Overall, my weekends here have been great and I am really looking forward to Spring Break. We have from the 9th-19th off of school!! Over my break I will taking a trip to New York City, Ocean City, and possibly Philadelphia. Stay tuned!
