Today I did something that I haven´t done in a long time. I hand washed my clothes. Now I´m not talking about hand-washing one skirt or a swimsuit, I´m talking a weeks worth of clothing.
The school did tell us that there would be facilities for washing clothes while we are here, but I was thinking about something a little more than a big tub of water, bar of soap, and scrub board. It was quite the experience. My roommate and I spent over a hour and a half, soaping, scrubing, and rinsing our clothes before hanging them to dry on the clothes line.
Overall it wasn´t a bad experience, just something that I´m not used to, and I have a feeling that, while my clothes may smell a little better than they did before, they probably won´t feel as clean.
Next time you have to hand-washing an article of clothing be thankful that it´s not a whole tub full.

I had a similar experience in Guatemala! But we didn't do all our clothes, just some essentials. I hope you got pictures!
